Featuring works by indigenous writers, scholars, leaders, and storytellers, this volume of the National Museum of the American Indian celebrates the traditional and contemporary beliefs, cultures, and lives of Native nations from North, Central, and South America through illustrations, photographs, essays, articles, and poems. Having Native heritage, I can appreciate that most, if not all, of the content is from indigenous people.
